IMRG – 💡🏠 Lighthouse Tour (full day ride) @ Spirit Motorcycles San Jose
Aug 25 @ 8:00 am – 4:00 pm

Let’s go for a Sunday drive north, just past the big red bridge to visit one of Point Bonita Lighthouse, located at the South Western tip of the Marin headlands. This is an active lighthouse with a rich history. The lighthouse was the 3rd lighthouse on the West Coast and was first built in 1855. We’ll be stopping at the Whisk & Skillet for brunch. The coastal weather this time of year is usually pretty good, but dress in layers because, well, San Francisco summers can be chilly. Hope you can join us! For those who are registered and have embraced the spirit of the cause and theme, a selection of exquisite prizes will be bestowed to the: – Most Dapper Gentleman- Most Dapper Lady- Most Distinguished Facial Hair- Most Distinguished Motorcycle- Most Dapper Rider & Pillion Top 3 Highest fundraisers- 1st place- 2nd place- 3rd place Winners will be announced at the end of the ride at 456 Meridian Ave – Triumph San Jose where food, fun and fellowship will flourish. On Sunday, September 29th, 2019, tens of thousands of distinguished gentlefolk in hundreds of cities worldwide will don their cravats, tweak their mustaches, press their tweed and sit astride their classic and vintage styled motorcycles to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and men’s mental health. The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way to combat the often-negative stereotype of men on motorcycles, whilst connecting niche motorcycle communities together. That first ride in 2012 brought together over 2,500 riders across 64 cities. The success of the event encouraged the founder to consider how it could be used to support a worthy cause.

IMRG – Mountain Meadows & Mining Towns (3 day weekend ride) @ Spirit Motorcycles San Jose
Oct 4 @ 7:30 am – Oct 6 @ 7:30 pm

This is an open ride hosted by Indian Motorcycle Riders Group of San Jose. This is also a weekend ride departing San Jose on Friday, October 4th and returning Sunday, October 6th. Our destination is Susanville, California, an old lumber and mining town. We’ll be lodging at the Diamond Mountain Casino in Susanville and with discounted rooms available for the group. Discounted rooms are limited so reserve yours soon. See below for details. Susanville is home to two state prisons so for some of you, this might be an opportunity to visit some old friends (zing!). As with most rides, the treasure is found in the journey, not the destination, and the trek to and from Susanville will be classic motorcycling along some terrific NorCal roads chock full of “Instagrammable” moments. We’ll wind our way through mountain meadows along the Sierras, next to rivers and railroad trestles, with gorgeous sweeping vistas filling our views. More adventure awaits on Saturday with an optional ride that will take riders to the Lassen Volcanic National Park. It’s rich in hydrothermal sites like Bumpass Hell, with its acres of bubbling mud pots. The summit of Lassen Peak Volcano offers views over the surrounding wilderness. Nearby, the “Devastated Area” is littered with lava rocks from its last eruption. We may stop for a flashlight tour of the lava caves so bring your own light or they have some available to rent. Saturday night will feature a dinner hosted by Spirit Motorcycles and the San Jose Indian Motorcycle Riders Group. Dinner will be held at the hotel in a private room with an outdoor patio. Hope you can join us! 3 day trip – Highway 36 and Avenue of the Giants – San Jose Spirit Riders @ Spirit Motorcycles San Jose
Oct 12 @ 9:00 am – Oct 14 @ 6:00 pm

Let’s do one of the great motorcycling roads in North America: Highway 36 from Red Bluff to the coast. It’s a playground of twisty turns and roller coaster hills. At the coast, we’ll cruise through the ancient redwoods on the Avenue of the Giants. The next day, we’ll come home via the coast highway. This is not a beginner’s ride: we’ll cover a lot of miles and some challenging mountain roads. But we’ll take it at a pace everyone can handle comfortably, and no one will be left behind. By participating, you agree to the liability release https://goo.gl/6mAeVV . We’ll be away for three days. Day one from San Jose to Red Bluff, day two to Garberville and day three back home. Book your room for Saturday night at the Best Western Antelope Inn in Red Bluff, and Sunday night at the Best Western Plus Humboldt House Inn in Garberville. Blocks of rooms are reserved under the name John Kristian. Fill your tank and come to Spirit at 9:00 to meet, greet and discuss the ride. Kickstands up at 10:00.
